The Taipei City-based National Palace Museum won two gold and three silver medals at the 2025 WorldFest Houston International Film Festival for innovative digital exhibitions and creative website designs.

The NPM’s immersive digital exhibition “Evoking Aura: Invoking Visionary Insights” took silver in the New Media HiDef/New Technology category. Through high-resolution images and 8K videos, the exhibition creates a sensory experience that offers unique encounters between viewers and artworks in the contemporary age of technology, the museum said.

Particular images from the exhibition won medals: “Budding Early Spring” and “Sound of Pines” took gold and silver, respectively, in the New Media Interactive – Entertainment category. “Kaleidoscope Flowers” earned gold in New Media Interactive – Children.

The museum’s promotional video “A True Taiwanese Welcome” took silver for TV Commercials / Public Service. The short features the NPM’s collection of cultural relics and introduces nearby attractions, in addition to providing 10 recommended itineraries in multiple languages.

The NPM said the latest honor follows its four golds and two silvers at the MUSE Creative Awards earlier this year. In both cases, the awards represent global recognition of its efforts over the past two decades to employ digital, immersive and virtual reality technologies to showcase its artworks and offer new ways for visitors to admire artworks and artifacts, the museum added.
