The National Palace Museum garnered four golds and two silvers at the latest Muse Creative Awards, showcasing its prowess in organizing immersive digital exhibitions and website designs.
“Evoking Aura: Invoking Visionary Insights” won a gold medal in the Experimental and Immersive—Immersive Brand Experience category, the NPM said. The 2024 exhibition featured 8K-resolution videos of exhibits at the museum that gave visitors an immersive experience, it added.
“Divine Vision, Ghostly Reflection: New Media Art Exhibition,” won a gold prize in the Experimental and Immersive—Exhibition Experience category, the museum said. Inspired by the collection “The Three Taoist Officials Making an Inspection Tour” by Ma Lin from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), the exhibition employed motion sensors, allowing visitors to interact with the piece, the NPM said.
According to the NPM, the website it created for the “The Emperors’ Moving Gardens” exhibition last year was awarded two golds in the “art and design” and “home page/landing page” categories, while another website for the “Storytelling Images” exhibition clinched two silvers in the “cultural” and “home page/landing page” categories.
The NPM added that it will continue using digital technology to offer enhanced visitor experiences, creating new ways to appreciate art and artifacts, thus actively expanding its international reach.
Established in 2015 by the U.S.-based International Awards Associate, the Muse Creative Awards honor excellence and innovation in creative design, advertising and digital media. (YCH-E)
