To facilitate Taiwan high-tech startups’ global competitiveness, Taiwan Tech Arena attended London Tech Week under the auspices of the National Science and Technology Council June 12-16. The event is a platform for technology sectors from around the globe to stimulate change.
Jointly organized by the NTSC, National Development Council and the Ministries of Economic and Digital Affairs, TTA first attended London Tech Week in 2022. This year, 20 startups from the fields of AI, food and health technology, net-zero emissions and digital technology participated.
NSTC Department of Academia-Industry Collaboration and Science Park Affairs Director Xu Zeng-ru led the delegation. A second Xu-led delegation of 27 high-tech companies also joined Viva Tech in France June 14-17.
In other international outreach, NSTC Minister Wu Tsung-tsong attended the first large-scale international conference held by Stanford University-based Taiwan Science &Technology Hub June 2. Wu also led a cross-sector delegation to take part in BIO International Convention June 5-8 in Boston, which strengthens exchange in science and research and visited the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology during London Tech Week.
Three TTA startups were shortlisted for London Tech Week’s “Elevating Founder Challenge.” The three produce products related to health technology and AI applications.
Areix Analytics Limited developed an AI finance managing platform, ible Technology Inc. launched the world’s smallest wearable air purifier and Keep Tossing Lab improved user experience in tracking athletic performance through AI algorithms. (POC-E)
