Staffers from the Forestry Bureau under the Cabinet-level Council of Agriculture examine a giant elm in Taitung County, southeastern Taiwan. A grove of more than 100 of the trees were recently discovered by the bureau in the southern section of the Central Mountain Range, with the largest specimen measuring 4.8 meters in diameter at breast height.
