A projection mapping show illuminating the facade of the historic Presidential Office will kick off Oct. 7 in Taipei City as part of the 114th Double Tenth National Day celebrations.

Titled “Stay Tuned, Taiwan,” the show features images from 87 local TV variety shows and dramas to mark the 60th anniversary of the Golden Bell Awards.

According to event co-organizer General Association of Chinese Culture, the show uses light, sound and imagery to invite audiences to retrace six decades of broadcasting history in Taiwan while paying tribute to the professionalism and passion of local industry players.

The GACC said that from the days when neighbors gathered in front of a single television set to the present era of on-demand digital streaming, Taiwan has seen rapid technological transformation and broadcasting innovation.

The show invites viewers to travel back through time, revisit cherished memories and rediscover the moments that have shaped the people’s collective identity, the agency said, adding that the 10-minute show will be staged every half hour from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 7-10.

Other events celebrating the country’s anniversary include a National Day gala set for Oct. 9 in Taichung City and a fireworks display the following day in Nantou County. The iconic TAIPEI 101 will also feature a four-minute fireworks display with a performance by 500 drones flying in formation starting at 10 p.m. on Oct. 10
