GPO Sapphire, a new ship built by CSBC Corporation, Taiwan, is christened during a ceremony Aug. 19 in the southern city of Kaohsiung. The 65,000-ton semi-submersible deck cargo carrier is designed for dry transportation of offshore drilling rigs and other heavy loads, and was recently featured in a National Geographic Channel documentary.
