The fifth Cross-strait E-commerce Industry Exchange and Cooperation Forum opens Sept. 12 in Taipei City, attracting a record 500 representatives from Taiwan and mainland China. The ROC Ministry of Economic Affairs hopes that the event will serve as a platform for both sides to strengthen e-commerce business match-making, resolve cross-border barriers, and help Taiwan operators tap mainland China’s e-commerce market, valued at NT$5.85 trillion (US$197.1 billion) in 2012.
