Honor guards of Taipei First Girls’ High School display May 19 dolls bearing their likeness. The dolls were created to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the school since the ROC government accepted the surrender of Japanese forces on Taiwan Oct. 25, 1945, and regained control of the island. (CNA)
