An upland buzzard perches on a stump in Chiayi County’s Aogu Wetland Forest Park. Since July, a number of such rare bird species, including the bull-headed shrike, greater crested tern and Palla’s leaf warbler, have been spotted in the area. (Courtesy of Chen Chien-hua)
