A promotional event is staged Oct. 16 in the lead up to the first-ever Asia and Oceania Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships of the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation. A total of 51 participants from 11 countries and territories in the region are set to contest the event at Lotus Pond Oct. 23-25 in Kaohsiung City. (CNA)
