President Ma Ying-jeou (right) will meet his mainland Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping Nov. 7 in Singapore, according to the Office of the President Nov. 3. While adhering to the objectives of cementing peace and maintaining the status quo across the Taiwan Strait, the president will not sign any agreement or issue a joint declaration with Xi during the visit, the OOP added.
