A Taiwan flying fox catches 40 winks June 9 at Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park. Listed as a class-one protected species by the Council of Agriculture, the endangered bat with a wingspan of up to a meter was last seen in the area two years ago. (Courtesy of HCCIP)
